OPERATION CHILD CARE WINS WARRIOR RISING PITCH COMPETITION IN SAN ANTONIO, TX

Founder Kayla Corbitt Takes Home $20K Cash Prize
[SAN ANTONIO, TX, SEPTEMBER 14, 2022] — Warrior Rising has selected Kayla Corbitt, Founder of Operation Child Care, as the overall winner of their most recent pitch competition for the DOD affiliated community in San Antonio, TX. This year’s competition focused on supporting the military community and sought highly innovative veteran-led startups.
All applications for finalists were reviewed by an elite panel of judges. The top four companies selected had the opportunity to present their business on stage at the Grunt Style Headquarters on Thursday, September 10th. The four companies pitching in the final competition were Sponsor Match, Melior, 18 Series Bag Company, and Operation Child Care.
Participants underwent interviews, submitted a video, and completed multiple mentor sessions prior to the event. Each company was asked to pitch live to six judges who then made selections for finalists to pitch a second time. Operation Child Care was voted the overall winner and presented a check for $20,000. Operation Child Care will also receive a MacBook Air, a custom suit, SEO generation, headshots, a professional marketing video, and all the exposure that comes with such an honor.
“What stood out to the judges was Kayla’s sincere passion” says Jason VanCamp, Founder and Executive Director of Warrior Rising. Kayla Corbitt, Operation Child Care’s Founder said “I am so appreciative that the community I am seeking to serve is also the community lifting me up in ways I never could have dreamed were possible. One of the core values of Operation Child Care is passion, as we firmly believe the Military Community rises together and falls together.”
